Capone’s Last Stand, was commissioned by a gentle man whom I was introduced to through an interior designer at the Rubicon Collection in Tahoe city.
I visited my clients Marin office to get a visual of the wall space and also discuss creative ideas concerning the atmosphere he was aiming to create.
My client is quite knowledgeable when it comes to vintage motors, and he really enjoyed my attention to detail and accurate representation.
After viewing some of my visual ideas we decided upon a 5tby 3ft painting of a 30’s Chevy located in the ghost town of Bodie. It’s areal moody piece with heavy shadowing falling across the foreground and evokes the notion of an adventurous gangster past.
